No training wheels!!

December 11th, 2009, my firstborn became a grown little man. We decided to see how Kyle would do without his training wheels. He wobbled back and forth a few times, but in less than 30mins, he was off on his own. He was a pro!! I was so close to crying, but fought back the tears and cheered him on. For a split second, I considered throwing the training wheels back on. I don't like this growing up thing. It happens too fast. *sigh* He'll always be my baby boy. =)

Wondering why Miss Leah is saying "uh,oh!" over and over?? Our neighbor across the street has a blowup Snowman decoration and in the daytime Leah ALWAYS says "uh, oh, sn-man" because it isn't inflated! :)

Shooting

When we lived in Idaho, we went shooting quite often. We would get old plates and put them all up on a hill and shoot at 'em with my hubby's gun (I don't know the difference between a rifle and a shotgun!). Now that we are going back out to the middle-of-nowhere, I think we'll be doing a lot of this!

Rodeo

I don't know if I live a sheltered life or what, but ever since I met my husband I have had a lot of firsts. I have done things, went places, and tried things I never thought I would do.

~He got me to try snowboarding (he didn't listen when I told him I would really suck at it, and now he will even tell you it was a bad idea to go! HaHa).

~He's bought/rented movies that I had never seen, like - Jaws, Wizard of Oz, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - the list goes on.

~He got me to go snorkeling in Jamaica! I don't even know how to swim and am deathly scared of the water. Thinking back on it now, I can't believe I did it. Crazy!

~He's gotten me to shoot his gun (I used to be the girl who would go nowhere near a gun, but I got to the part where I actually enjoy shooting them!).

~My husband even has me hooked on NASCAR. So much that I even watch it when he's not around. LOL. I can see my sister rolling her eyes right now.. she doesn't understand how great it is to watch cars go around and around, hehe ;)

~He's taken me to my first Pro football game, Pro baseball game, and this past weekend he took us to a Rodeo.

We had a blast. I loved it. They only had the bull-riding part.. I guess they do other things at some other bull-riding events, but I wouldn't know. But it still was a lot of fun and I can't wait to go to another one!

It was so sad seeing some of the guys fall off right away and get soooo upset. They would punch the fence or wall! I felt so bad for the guys! :(

These videos were taken the day after Leah turned 8 months old. I would just look at her and she would start laughing.. I had to get it on video. I suppose I should have turned the lights on! Whoops.

Musical Highway

Have you ever heard of the Musical Highway (known in Japan as Melody Road)? There is a Musical Highway here in Lancaster, CA and we rode down it the other night! Definitely cool =) I guess the grooves are made specifically for a Honda Civic, so now I'm curious as to what it sounds like in something other than a Daewoo or a Dodge (what my sister and brother drive). Here's a video clip I took. Can you tell what song it is?? :~)

Counting and Cards

I took two videos of Kyle today. One I was trying to get him to count, but he wasn't all that into it. And the other one was when we were doing flashcards. Please ignore his unbuttoned onesie and the jello stains from his after-dinner snack! Oh! And, um, could you please ignore my awful singing!!
