Lots to do

I have so many pictures I want to post. So many things I want to say. Did I already say I have super cute pictures of the kids I want to share? But I have had no time. We have been on the go for the past 3 weeks and I am honestly ready for things to just be normal.. and calm.. and slow. Phew! The husband goes back to work tonight after being off for 3 whole weeks! It was nice having him home, but I did not get anything accomplished!! My house is seriously a disaster, especially since Christmas just passed. Now I have a million toys and packaging all over the house. So, for the next few days, I will be trying to get the house back in order. Well, that all depends on how this cold treats us. Kyle caught a small cold (sneezing and coughing), he gave it to me and I've had a sore throat for a few days now (hoping to not the runny nose thing!) and now Leah woke up this morning with a runny nose! Seems like we all took on just one symptom of this cold. Brandon is fine.. for now, haha.

Here's my to do list. I hope to get a lot of it done today, since Brandon will be gone and we have no plans. But, sometimes life gets in the way, so we'll see!

~Dust
~Vacuum
~Swiffer the floors
~2 loads of laundry, plus the bedding on our bed and also Kyle's
~Unload dishwasher
~Make Chicken Alfredo for lunch (I have to make dinner at lunchtime so Brandon has something to take to work tonight)
~Reload dishwasher
~Clean out the fridge
~Scrub toilets and sink
~Help Kyle clean and organize his room
~Organize beneath our bathroom sinks (Leah got in there and made a mess, and I didn't want to deal with it, so I just kept throwing stuff around in there. Needless to say, it really is a mess!)

Well, that's it for now! I'm off to get started, but here's a picture I'll share right now!

Aww..what a cute picture! Well, I hope you all start to feel better soon! I know it's hard to take care of things when you're under the weather!!

If my hubby was home for 3 weeks, I would be in the same boat. It's hard for me to stay on top of things if he's home! I still haven't figured out why that is???

HUGS,
Alicia

Phew, sounds a lot like my list!!! So far I've put away a ton of laundry, vacuumed, loaded and unloaded the dishwasher (which just clicked to say "I'm done! Unload me again!" *sigh*), took down the Christmas tree, and removed (almost) all of the lights/ornaments/decor from around the house.

I still have to make dinner and do a little more laundry... hopefully I'll get that done before Caleb wakes up from his nap! :o)

Isn't it nice when the house is all in order again? So satisfying!

I feel the same way! Dave went back to work today too and I have tons to do! I got the tree down, some dishes done, and I got my curtains down in the living room~ but Devin is teething and being uncooperative. UGH!!

Good luck! My reasoning is that when Dave's home I just want to hang out with him and Devin...after all he gets some time off we should too!

Such a cute picture! Girl, I know EXACTLY how you feel. My to-do is so out of control about now. I have to start letting things go more. I am killing myself trying to accomplish so much in a day's time. There's just not enough hours in the day....

I hope that your to-do list is already completed by now.

Have a great evening!

Hi Laura! I visit Alicia's blog often & tonight I saw your comment about you not getting anything done when your hubby is home & how your house is a mess- I am sooooo like that!! I can never figure out what it is, maybe that I'd rather be around him than be busy doing chores(or maybe I'm just lazy =0)). Anyway, I was interested in seeing it was that was like me in this unusual way & I decided to visit! I see your from Florida too! I like your blog- very cute. I looked at some older posts of yours & to answer a few questions: Yes, dog chow- I was just introduced to it this year- YUM! And Rags- Except I rarely have mine in such a neat stack as yours (unless of course I've just washed them)- but we go through them so quickly that when I run out I grab a towel from the dirty laundry. I don't know why I dislike paper towels so much. It's funny what you don't realize that you do until someone else mentions it too. Oh, I love the diaper story. Don't give up- It took my son over a year to get it! Your son will get it too when he's ready. Someone once told me not to worry, he won't be going to kindergarten in a diaper. Enjoyed your blog. I'll visit again soon! Jessica
